Leveraging the Internet

Work from anywhere, anytime.

Spec Book Pro can be used from any fast internet connection. You can work from the office, home, client sites, etc. A designer in New York and a designer in Atlanta can be working on the same project.

Flexible staffing — Users can be added quickly (and limited to a specific project, if necessary)

You can add a new user in two minutes. Then that user will be able to start working from anywhere in the civilized world — immediately. If you have a large project and want to use off-site contract designers for that project only, you can limit them to work on that project only and they won’t be able to see the other projects for your firm.

No investment in computer hardware, software, or support required

Spec Book Pro online does not use your server. There’s no up-front investment in software, no PC installation/configuration and no maintenance/upgrade headaches. You do need a current version of Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser and Adobe Reader, which are both free. We recommend a fast connection to the Web for maximum productivity.

Scalable and affordable — for small and large firms

For the very small firm to the multi-location corporation, Spec Book Pro can handle companies with one or dozens of authorized users. You only pay for the people who create specs.

Use Manufacturer’s product catalogs on the Web

When you are creating specs, you get specification data and images from the web page of the Manufacturer’s product catalog. Designers can click on the link to the Manufacturer and copy and paste the product data into the description and notes for the specification, saving valuable time and eliminating errors. Copy the image of the item from the manufacturer’s web site catalog to the Spec Book Pro Image Library — no more wasting valuable time scanning photos from catalogs.

Sales Leads for your Firm from Google Adwords

One of the services that comes at no cost with your subscription to Spec Book Pro is a Google Adwords campaign to uncover leads for interior design work. We have designed a Google Adwords campaign to help people searching for interior designers on Google. When we get a lead, we send it to our client(s) who are in the vicinity.

FYI: AdWords is Google’s flagship advertising product and main source of revenue. AdWords is a pay-per-click (PPC) advertising service appearing on Google Search. The AdWords program includes local, national, and international distribution. Google’s text advertisements are short, consisting of one title line and two content text lines.
